A Blog Post from my iPhone

Well, I had something else I was going to show you today, but after last night’s news, I thought this might be more appropriate:

This was my first Apple computer, and my first laptop. It was one of the first with a colour screen, the PowerBook 165c, circa 1993. It has a floppy disk drive and a trackball, and used one of those dial-up modems that always sounded like an impending car crash. But speaking of crashes, unlike my previous desktop PC, this one never, ever did.

And as you can see, it still works:

“Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.” – Steve Jobs

  1. Ah! that was my first personal computer, too!
It lasted until 2000 when finally its modest modem capacity, overall unupgradability and lack of CD drive pushed it to obsolescence. I sadly gave it away in 2007. It could still power up!
    Thanks for sharing your museum…
